Rapper Soulja Boy has turned his back on his Twitter.com followers after deleting his account on the social networking website without giving any explanation for the move.
The Crank That (Soulja Boy) hit-maker, real name DeAndre Way, had been keeping over 2 million fans updated with his everyday thoughts and activities on the blog but his account was recently deactivated.
The hip-hop star failed to give fans a reason for his actions but the move could cost him big - earlier this year, Soulja Boy was reported to be earning up to $10,000 per tweet from his various sponsors, along with socialite and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
Soulja Boy joins celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown in the anti-Twitter club - both stars deleted their accounts last year.

Rap rivals Soulja Boy and Fabolous put their differences aside during a radio interview on Wednesday following a vicious online war of words.
The pair fell out after Fabolous joked on his Twitter.com page about allegations Soulja Boy used cocaine, branding the young hip-hop star Stupid Boy Swag in reference to his hit Pretty Boy Swag. Soulja Boy was left fuming over the post, and fired back at the Trade It All hit-maker in a series of aggressive tweets.
On Tuesday, he wrote, "I will murder that n**ga fab in a freestyle battle he garbage compared to soulja boy (sic). Fab is so mothaf**kin lame he pick the wrong week to beef. Lets see how much his new "EP" sell 1st week (sic). Garbage a** rapper."
However, the pair called a truce during a radio interview with DJ Clue of Power 105 in New York on Wednesday, with Soulja Boy admitting he had taken the joke out of context.
He told DJ Clue, "I thought that he was taking shots at me, when it was just jokes. It was a misunderstanding, a miscommunication."
Fabolous replied, "I know people thought it was going to be a (Filipino boxer Manny) Pacquiao fight, but we sat down like bosses."

Chris Brown, Soulja Boy and Bow Wow have sparked a war of words on Twitter, challenging each other's finances and fans.
"Crank That (Soulja Boy)" hitmaker Soulja Boy started the battle by boasting about how many Twitter followers he has compared to Brown and Bow Wow.
But Brown was quick to respond to the jibe, insisting he is more popular because he can demand more cash for his personal appearances.
In a poorly-worded rant on his personal page, Soulja Boy - real name DeAndre Cortez Way - writes, "Add Chris Brown & Bow Wow followers together and you still aint (sic) half way f**kin with me."
Brown retorted, "Souljaboytellem and bowwow what yall make in a show I make for an hour at an afterparty... jus sayin (sic)."
But Soulja Boy fired back, "If my last tweet offended you I won," before challenging Bow Wow to a chart battle when they release their new albums later this year.
He added, "Bowwow... f**k bank accounts. f**k followers. let's see who (sic) new album sell the most 1st week."

Rapper Soulja Boy is facing legal action from a clothing designer over allegations he stole the company's catchphrase.
Clement Brown Jr., the owner of clothing line Laundry Money, has filed a lawsuit in Michigan accusing the Crank That (Soulja Boy) hit-maker, his S.O.D. Money Gang Entertainment company, and several associates of taking the firm's slogan and using it as their 'code of honor'.
The four-line phrase, which begins, "Grind...hustle hard...double up...", is said to have been featured on Laundry Money t-shirts before it was allegedly adopted by the rapper and his pals. The star is even said to have inked the lines in a tattoo across his chest.
The lawsuit, which claims the words were copyrighted in 2008, seeks an unknown amount in damages as well as an injunction to prevent further use of the slogan, according to Allhiphop.com.

Soulja Boy Facing EvictionBad boy rapper Soulja Boy is in trouble again - he is facing eviction after breaking the rules of his tenancy agreement and falling almost $10,000 behind in rent payments.
The Crank That (Soulja Boy) hit-maker rents a lavish property in Los Angeles, which he has made his home since the beginning of the year. However, the star's landlord isn't pleased with the way the hip-hop star has treated the property - and has sent a letter threatening to kick him out.
Soulja Boy is accused of failing to abide by a two-guest rule, disrupting the neighborhood with parties and owing over $9,000 in rent.
In a letter to the star, obtained by TMZ.com, the landlord writes, ""We have received complaints of noise disturbances and guests wandering the hallway and Observation Deck. This is a direct violation of your Lease Agreement. Additionally, we were notified that you had over 10 cars parked in guest parking on the evening of September 25th. This is a violation of your lease which states, 'You may have no more than two overnight guests at a time unless we provide specific approval.'"
The rapper was arrested last week after he ran from cops investigating complaints made about the shooting of his latest music video in Georgia.

Miley Cyrus Or Soulja Boy: Who Will Have The Longer Career?

Be next to rise in the world of Hip Hop. Click Here to get the BluePrint....Hip Hop Early
Miley Cyrus Cyrus and Soulja Boy Tell'Em have achieved fame before the age of 20. They've had hit singles and popular Tweets. They have all the money in the world and a large fan base that follows them on Twitter and YouTube. And controversy arises whenever they say or do something outlandish. These two teen stars already have successful careers that a forty year old aspiring star would want. But with the rise of their careers, there will be a point where their level of fame will decline and vanish into oblivion. Between Miley and Soulja Boy, whose career will last the longest?
Miley Cyrus is only 16 and she has already surpassed Disney's former 'it' girl Hilary Duff in music, film, and television. Cyrus' music career has been impressive with two albums debuting #1 on the Billboard charts. She's performed at sold-out concerts with many of her Hannah Montana fans in attendance. She's also starred in Hannah Montana: The Movie which was a box office success. Whether it's acting or singing, this versatility may prolong her career. Let's face it, there aren't a lot of singers that can act or actors who can sing. Miley has proven that she can do both. And she has a loyal following that watches her TV show daily, buys all of her albums, and attends her films and concerts. Her natural talent and fan base may keep her around forever.
The same can be said about Soulja Boy. Like Cyrus, Soulja Boy has had commercial success with hit singles like "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" and "Kiss Me Thru the Phone." He had old ladies dancing to "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" in 2007. Young and old, he has a fan base that consists of mostly women who attend his concerts and kiss the computer screen every time he posts shirtless pictures of himself on Twitter. In this YouTube and Twitter generation, he attracts millions of viewers and listeners because he's young and releases songs that are fun to dance to which appeal to the masses, rather than just hip-hop audiences. This mass appeal and his online fan base may keep him in the limelight for a while.
Soulja Boy Image © Twitter Picture
On the other hand, Soulja Boy's music career may fade away like Vanilla Ice. Soulja Boy has been criticized by music critics and his peers in Hip-Hop for his rap skills or lack thereof. His songs have been called foolish and appealing only to the ringtone market. Rapper turned actor Ice-T called him out and criticized him for "killing hip-hop." All of this criticism and hatred by critics and other rappers may lead to Soulja Boy's downfall. Artists may choose not to collaborate with him because of this resentment towards him in the music industry. And fans may grow tired of him if he doesn't start writing real hip-hop songs. Fame may also play a role in his downfall. All of that money at a young age leads to huge shopping sprees. It's rumored that Soulja Boy owes his landlord close to $10,000 in back rent. If he keeps spending all of his money on jewelry and fast cars, he'll be broke by the age of 25. Spending time in jail isn't going to prolong his career either. On October 7, he was arrested for alluding the police. Any amount of jail time will bring his career to a standstill.
Miley Cyrus' career has been Cinderella-like so far. But once Hannah Montana ends, she may see a decrease in popularity. She will no longer have Disney backing her and promoting her albums and films. And as she gets older, her young audience will turn somewhere else. There will come a day when there will be a new Disney 'it' girl with a better show that will overshadow Miley's show. Fans may grow tired of Cyrus and that's when she will have to move to an older audience with songs aimed towards adults. Cyrus has already alienated herself from her young audience by deleting her Twitter account which had 2 million followers. She may be headed in the same path as Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears. She's already posted risqué pictures of herself online and danced around a pole at this year's Teen Choice Awards. She's not far behind of Lohan or Spears.

You can make a case that both Miley Cyrus and Soulja Boy will have long careers because of their hit songs and large fan base. Soulja Boy has already proven he's more than a one-hit wonder, but will he ever be respected as a rapper? Miley is Disney's darling, but what will happen to her career once she is no longer Disney's number one girl? And how many years or decades will Soulja Boy and Miley be around to entertain us? As of right now, it looks like Miley Cyrus will have the longer career because she can sing, act, and has a mega-giant company on her side. But don't count Soulja Boy out. He may one day become a respected MC like Lil Wayne and outlast Miley Cyrus. Only time will tell.

Lil Wayne has suspended his Twitter account after an internet prankster hacked in and sent a number of questionable messages to his fans and famous followers.

The rapper's page is said to have been illegally accessed on Sunday, and a series of strange posts were subsequently sent out.

The hacker sent rude messages to Lil Wayne's celebrity pals, including 50 Cent, Soulja Boy and The Game, and made explicit jibes about the Lollipop hit-maker's recent spell in prison on weapons possession charges, according to AllHipHop.com.

A post sent to Soulja Boy reads, "I sent a donations (sic) to your Paypal, check it, I heard you got 13,000 (record) sales lil homie, I feel bad for you!"

Lil Wayne's Twitter account has now been taken offline. The page was previously hacked late last year, with the impostor posting fake news that the rapper would be performing with Nicki Minaj. Lil Wayne said at the time, "I was just mad that somebody went on my Twitter, like that's my personal Twitter!"

Soulja Boy Sparks Twitter Ruckus

Be next to rise in the world of Hip Hop. Click Here to get the BluePrint....Hip Hop Early
Rapper Soulja Boy has sparked controversy in the world of Twitter.com after declaring he is the man responsible for the catchy lyrics to Willow Smith's hit song Whip My Hair.
The Crank That (Soulja Boy) hit-maker, real name DeAndre Way, took to the site on Sunday and took credit for the track, which has catapulted Hollywood star Will Smith's 10-year-old daughter into the pop charts.
Referring to a snippet from his 2009 single Turn My Sway On, he wrote, "YES ITS TRUE I WROTE "WHIP MY HAIR" FOR WILLOW SMITH. THATS WHY SHE SAYS HOP OUT THE BED TURN MY SWAG ON. WE GETTING $$$ 2011 NO GAMES (sic)."
The hip-hop star's claim immediately came under scrutiny when it was retweeted by followers across the world - because songwriting team Ronald Jackson and Janae Rockwell are listed as the brains behind Whip My Hair. Smith's representatives had yet to comment on Soulja Boy's boast as WENN went to press.
However, there may be an ounce of truth to Soulja Boy's claim after all - he is reported to have trademarked the phrase, "Turn my swag on," meaning Smith's song producers would have had to compensate the rapper for using the wording.
