Rapper Soulja Boy has turned his back on his Twitter.com followers after deleting his account on the social networking website without giving any explanation for the move.
The Crank That (Soulja Boy) hit-maker, real name DeAndre Way, had been keeping over 2 million fans updated with his everyday thoughts and activities on the blog but his account was recently deactivated.
The hip-hop star failed to give fans a reason for his actions but the move could cost him big - earlier this year, Soulja Boy was reported to be earning up to $10,000 per tweet from his various sponsors, along with socialite and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
Soulja Boy joins celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown in the anti-Twitter club - both stars deleted their accounts last year.

Rap rivals Soulja Boy and Fabolous put their differences aside during a radio interview on Wednesday following a vicious online war of words.
The pair fell out after Fabolous joked on his Twitter.com page about allegations Soulja Boy used cocaine, branding the young hip-hop star Stupid Boy Swag in reference to his hit Pretty Boy Swag. Soulja Boy was left fuming over the post, and fired back at the Trade It All hit-maker in a series of aggressive tweets.
On Tuesday, he wrote, "I will murder that n**ga fab in a freestyle battle he garbage compared to soulja boy (sic). Fab is so mothaf**kin lame he pick the wrong week to beef. Lets see how much his new "EP" sell 1st week (sic). Garbage a** rapper."
However, the pair called a truce during a radio interview with DJ Clue of Power 105 in New York on Wednesday, with Soulja Boy admitting he had taken the joke out of context.
He told DJ Clue, "I thought that he was taking shots at me, when it was just jokes. It was a misunderstanding, a miscommunication."
Fabolous replied, "I know people thought it was going to be a (Filipino boxer Manny) Pacquiao fight, but we sat down like bosses."

Chris Brown, Soulja Boy and Bow Wow have sparked a war of words on Twitter, challenging each other's finances and fans.
"Crank That (Soulja Boy)" hitmaker Soulja Boy started the battle by boasting about how many Twitter followers he has compared to Brown and Bow Wow.
But Brown was quick to respond to the jibe, insisting he is more popular because he can demand more cash for his personal appearances.
In a poorly-worded rant on his personal page, Soulja Boy - real name DeAndre Cortez Way - writes, "Add Chris Brown & Bow Wow followers together and you still aint (sic) half way f**kin with me."
Brown retorted, "Souljaboytellem and bowwow what yall make in a show I make for an hour at an afterparty... jus sayin (sic)."
But Soulja Boy fired back, "If my last tweet offended you I won," before challenging Bow Wow to a chart battle when they release their new albums later this year.
He added, "Bowwow... f**k bank accounts. f**k followers. let's see who (sic) new album sell the most 1st week."

Rapper Soulja Boy is facing legal action from a clothing designer over allegations he stole the company's catchphrase.
Clement Brown Jr., the owner of clothing line Laundry Money, has filed a lawsuit in Michigan accusing the Crank That (Soulja Boy) hit-maker, his S.O.D. Money Gang Entertainment company, and several associates of taking the firm's slogan and using it as their 'code of honor'.
The four-line phrase, which begins, "Grind...hustle hard...double up...", is said to have been featured on Laundry Money t-shirts before it was allegedly adopted by the rapper and his pals. The star is even said to have inked the lines in a tattoo across his chest.
The lawsuit, which claims the words were copyrighted in 2008, seeks an unknown amount in damages as well as an injunction to prevent further use of the slogan, according to Allhiphop.com.

Soulja Boy Facing EvictionBad boy rapper Soulja Boy is in trouble again - he is facing eviction after breaking the rules of his tenancy agreement and falling almost $10,000 behind in rent payments.
The Crank That (Soulja Boy) hit-maker rents a lavish property in Los Angeles, which he has made his home since the beginning of the year. However, the star's landlord isn't pleased with the way the hip-hop star has treated the property - and has sent a letter threatening to kick him out.
Soulja Boy is accused of failing to abide by a two-guest rule, disrupting the neighborhood with parties and owing over $9,000 in rent.
In a letter to the star, obtained by TMZ.com, the landlord writes, ""We have received complaints of noise disturbances and guests wandering the hallway and Observation Deck. This is a direct violation of your Lease Agreement. Additionally, we were notified that you had over 10 cars parked in guest parking on the evening of September 25th. This is a violation of your lease which states, 'You may have no more than two overnight guests at a time unless we provide specific approval.'"
The rapper was arrested last week after he ran from cops investigating complaints made about the shooting of his latest music video in Georgia.
